In response to Pirate King Red's outburst in Logue Town, ten years prior, the World Government formed a subsection of its military to combat the growing pirate threat. A section that answers to no particular authority, save for those in the upper echelons of the Marines, and that is often granted the right to do anything (and I do mean 'anything') to achieve their goal: the complete and utter destruction of pirates. And if the APT are known for anything, it's their ruthlessness and combat ability. In fact, rumors of their exploits, those bloody, explosive exchanges, have reached even the smallest of ears. Rumors that say that among their ranks, devil fruit users reside.
