Pysche Information
Likes: Peppermint, sun-bathing, birds, storms
Dislikes: Trees, excessive heat, delays, doing nothing (stagnant)
Personality: Roshaun doesn't have the most healthy self view. He doesn't exactly put himself down in that he berates himself for things he has done; rather, he tends to think of himself as bad and acts accordingly. There are still some morals there, but very few. Most of what limits he sets has to do with children. He doesn't set a gender line but he does have an age one. You don't go after children, no exceptions. That said, he'll fight a woman as hard and as cruelly as he would a man. There are different methods of course. After all, you can't kick a woman below the belt and expect much of a response. He figures, if a woman can be a pirate just like a man, they have to expect to face the same dangers.
xxxxBy thinking of himself as a bad person, and similarly accepting that, it allows Roshaun to do things that he would not have considered otherwise. The basic principle is that he already damned, more bad acts will not worsen that fate. In reverse, he doesn't believe that he can do anything that would atone so he doesn't try. As such he doesn't call himself a captain, despite the fact that he technically runs the boat he has. It would insinuate that he has some amount of responsibility for the lives of his crew and he really doesn't want the burden even in word usage much less in practice.
xxxxHis purpose for traveling has evolved a little. Where it once was simply to see other places, he now is curious to train and use not only his weapons but (tentatively) his devil fruit power. He doesn't think it will affect him morally, spiritually or any other phrasing one might use to indicate the interiority of a person, to use the devil's fruit. Somewhere buried under the levels of progression he still finds himself hesitant of the fruit named after demons.
xxxxHis overall demeanor is one of distrust. It presents itself in a rather cold calculating observation that never fully relaxes. He always has his eye on others around him, waiting for them to prove his distrust correct. It causes a certain amount of tension in those around him who can see of feel the way he acts. He is waiting for anyway to give him a reason. Not particularly chatty, he certainly doesn't come across as friendly. Yet he is rather eager for those stories he used to get as a young boy and will ply anyone willing to share them. Should he either get over his distrust or someone can tolerate that constant watchfulness, he could be a fairly decent acquaintance; maybe even going so far as to call a rare person friend. He may not talk much and when he does he might be a little more honest then is polite but outside of a fight he is not intentionally cruel. Of course, as has already happened, Roshaun can quickly be convinced to adapt his personality as need be.
Biography: Roshaun was born in Loguetown. He can't really say much about it except that he used to enjoy that he was born in a town that saw the great pirate king Gol D. Rodger. At that time he was too young to really understand that it was the place the man lost his life. When he was young he aspired to be a pirate. It seemed like a really interesting lifestyle, the adventure, the gold and of course the new places. Places that others came from and spoke of but he never got to see. Being on the island so close to Reverse Mountain, he heard hundreds of stories about other islands but could never really see them. That is, he couldn't visualize the animals and landscapes and for a few years he desperately wanted to see them.
xxxxAs all do, Roshaun grew up. Those around him were quick to crush those dreams. Piracy was a horrible thing that ended in death and dismemberment. What was once a constant reminder of the thrilling life of pirates turned into the stark reality. He stopped asking for stories of the other islands. The young boy turned inward. Where he used to speak more to the visitors he now made his friends with the locals. One of which was a man who was something of a researcher. The man had an interest in using objects and seeing how they worked. Roshaun became something of a guinea pig. This was perfectly fine when the items were harmless but when the man got a hold of a devil's fruit, Roshaun hesitated.
xxxxHe understood the consequences. Not being able to swim was a concern should he happen to fall into the ocean but more importantly, devil fruit users were not often welcome. The stories he'd heard from travelers often talked about the golden age of piracy. Devil fruit users were not well liked in general: he had missed the idea that there were bad people not evil fruits that made the eater bad. The man, not to be swayed from his observations, insisted forcefully. This only made Roshaun try to leave, vehement in not eating the expensive fruit. The smaller of the two, it wasn't all that unexpected that the man managed to pin the squirming child, stomach against cold floor. The fruit was pressed to his lips and when he shook his head to get away from it, the man pressed his weight down on his back. He was only trying to get a better angle so he could keep him from flailing out and see Roshaun's face but he'd caused a good deal of inadvertent pain. Roshaun cried out, the fruit was in his mouth and he'd swallowed it before he could think of anything past the pain.
xxxxIn that position, hurt and scared, the power of the fruit lashed out without any sort of control at all. Lacerations covered the man's body and that's all Roshaun knew when he ran, covered in blood himself. He talked himself into believing he was a criminal, a murderer. Roshaun hid away on a trading ship heading further into East Blue. The man, while injured, suffered only minor cuts. Had he stuck around to hear that he would have been infinitely relieved and most certainly would not have entered the world with such a strong sense of a distrust of others. The ride hidden in the wooden ship made him sick but once it stopped he was faced with one of those new islands he could never visualize. The urge to see more of this was sparked again, and seeing as he was already a bad person, might as well go with it.

Combat Information
Weapon: Customized whip and a set of long thin knives
Fighting Style: Extreme aggressor. He won't let his opponent a second to breath much less strike back and always aims for the vitals. He uses a variety of acrobatic maneuvers to keep from being hit and find openings. He pulls no punches and takes whatever openings he is given. It is fighting dirty at a fast pace but he doesn't really care. His focus is on being light of foot, faster than his opponent. He will use his environment extensively. Roofs and other such high places are a favorite as he can use the height advantage to bare down on his opponent.
xxxxHis custom whip is a hallow deal which has various cuts into it that create an opening between the hallow center and the outside. He can push wind through the handle and create what becomes like retractable thorns or nails of wind along the surface of the whip. These wind thorns are shallow, reaching no more than an inch from the whip at full power. Roshaun does not actually use the whip as often as he thought he would when he had it made. Instead, he tends to use a set of three thin scalpel-like knives. The reason is that he actually is better using the close quarters weapon, quickly slashing at whatever is in his reach, then having the skill to properly wield the whip. At the moment he reserves the whip for when he has no options and while training. He can throw the small knives, though he is not an impressive shot and only having three of them he'd rather not risk losing any and still have to face off against his opponent.
Fighting Style Weakness: He sticks to the extreme end of confrontation. When attacking, he goes all out, allowing no defense in his own movements. While he can dodge strikes, if something comes up between him and his opponent to block the attack, it was likely a coincidence. There is some thought behind how he attacks and what he plans to do but that plan never really includes defensive maneuvering. He has little physical strength, if his speed is overcome he can be easily overwhelmed by brute force. His fighting style must incorporate a lot of well placed slashes as he wouldn't be able to run someone through as a sword might nor break bone the way a crushing weapon could.
Devil Fruit: Kaze-Kaze no Mi (Breeze-breeze fruit)
Devil Fruit Type: Logia
Devil Fruit Ability: Element of Wind
Devil Fruit Weakness: Anything that slows him down. The Noro Noro no Mi specifically but anything that can reduce his speed and the speed of the air he uses. Water, makes him sluggish as water tends to cling to things and takes oxygen molecules that he uses. Fire also becomes an issue as it consumes air to burn. More generally, anything that can break his concentration or a lack of energy will take away from his devil's fruit ability. The thing he rues most is trees. Anything that comes from a tree will nullify his power over wind, meaning he can deflect a metal sword but a wooden one would be able to knock him unconscious.
Devil Fruit Techniques:
Special Techniques: None as of current. Looking for proper training.
-------------------------------------------------------
Sample: Roshaun looked down at the little floating vessel beached a short ways down from the dock meant to tie up much larger crafts. In this light it was a bit difficult to really look at it. The sun was shining across the surface of the calm blue water, only a light breeze stirring up ripples around the wood the intruding into the water. The sun glinted off the metal surface of a specially ordered boat. It was a bit blinding really and he had already decided that it would need to be rectified. "Yeah. But will it float?" He asked running a hand over the large propeller on the back. It wouldn't sit in the water, but instead be raised out of it - air propelled.
xxxxIt looked far too heavy to stay above water, but then so did large ships. The shipwright had started rattling off facts of science he didn't understand nor care to, honestly. He raised a hand toward the propeller and forced the wind to turn it. The fan started rotating but even as it picked up speed the metal contraption remained stuck in the sand. He about decided that it wasn't going to move from that spot till the tide came in when it slowly, almost begrudgingly shifted forward. The sand shifted around it slowly, quite unwilling to give up the small craft. Only once the backend was being lapped at by the disturbed water did he let up. Pulling his mussed hair out of the way, "It floats." He couldn't tell if the shipwright was more upset that he hadn't listened to the technical reasons or if it was the surprised tone he'd said it with.
xxxxThe white haired young man jerked his hand away from the back end with a hissed yelp. Blowing on his hand he frowned at the aspect he hadn't accounted for. Metal got hot sitting in the sun. He couldn't very well sail in a boat that burned to the touch. "Well, it floats anyway." He was just getting the shipwright more and more worked up. Maybe if he covered it with something. This new problem in mind he absentmindedly held out the final half of the payment. When the shipwright walked away muttering, Roshaun really couldn't say. He was too busy figuring out the little boat and how best to solve his next problem. It would fit three people he figured. Maybe not comfortably. But then he didn't plan on having more than one in it. And the little storage area should be able to hold enough water and food for some island hopping. He wasn't going to check; not right now.
xxxxTying it off took a few minutes. Jerking his hand back whenever the heat got a bit too much made it take longer than it really should. He should really pull it in but the weather was nice and liable to stay that way for at least the rest of the day. Seems he had to head back into town before he could move on. At least this time he wouldn't be dog sick, he thought was he walked toward the buildings where he thought to get some animal pelts to cover the metal and perhaps something to burn it and remove that reflective surface. A short thought was given in mourning to the beli he was spending on this venture. Couldn't be helped. He just might have to find a ship to liberate of its money once the little vessel was up and running. Sounded like fun.

Devil Fruit Techniques:
- 1 Ghost Step - When he molds him body to wind there is usually a visual trace of the gusting air. In this case he slows the wind as much as he can without losing hold of the change so that there is little sign of his presence. Good for actions requiring stealth but rarely used as it is extremely hard to control the wind at such low speeds. (Skill unknown - progress of learning)
- 2 Wind Scythe - His mode of choice, an extremely fast current of air focused into a line. The pressure of this makes the wind look like a sword slash and is just as sharp as a blade. Usually done in sets, he will often have more than one lashing out at a time. The trick is making sure they don't cut through each other's air currents.
Special Techniques: None as of current. Looking for proper training.
