Good evening everyone, the name is Sean and I'm very pleased to meet you all. Cutting to the chase I've been a long die hard One Piece fan and have previously been in charge of making my own One Piece roleplay forum. So it's been a while since I last roleplayed One Piece but I still have the experience which I hopes meets and exceeds expectations.

Well a little insight into my One Piece character concept. Would it be ok if my character were to be related to a canon character, as he is the son of Captain Kuro. He has essentially left the old crew and seeks to start his new life as a pirate with his own pirate crew, so he can become king of the pirates. Devil fruit owned is the Kage Kage no Mi, and along the way, he seeks to become a Shichibukai like Gecko Moria was. Selling his abilities to serve as a privateer, under the government.... for the time being naturally. He still has yet to have some development but his basics are done.

Well I look forward to roleplaying with you guys. Oh I also couldn't help but notice that the general chatting occurs on a board. May I suggest a shoutbox on the main page?

Captain Kuro? Err why would you want to be his son? I mean I personally don't really get.. nor like it when people try to relate themselves to canon characters who have never even been seen with another person romantically or anything.

Hello Sean. Hrm...that's not an easy name to get a funny nickname out of. Sean....Sea....Sea Turtle. Turtle. Eh, it'll do. Anyway, welcome to QOP. We usually criticize...did I say criticize? I meant review. We usually review characters post-profile. However, I'm willing to drop a few harmless comments since you took the time to ask.

Now, I'm not an expert on this forum's time/setting. From what I could gather, it was set forty years after the manga. Given that, your character would be fairly seasoned, given his relation to a certain Black Cat. Unless said BC was a very active grandpa.

I'm not sure on Shinx's stance on canon offspring. Personally? I'm usually against it. But I can be dissuaded. Especially if ShinX gives the okay. Her word is law.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but is your character aiming to be both the Pirate King and a Shichibukai?

noaneu: Is it required for canon characters to relate themselves romantically off-screen? Captain Kuro's life has remained concealed other than his times as a butler and brief appearances as a pirate. Whether he was in a romantic relationship or not is a Schrödinger's cat scenario. We never know until the box is opened and the box cannot always be opened. Personally, sometimes I see there may be a right to alter canon characters that do not necessarily conflict with their on camera appearance. These alterations though are theoretical and off camera. And I think that only makes the creativity and roleplaying more exciting, which can only happen off camera of course.

shutN: Meh, call me what you want. XD Pleased to meet you ShutN. Well given that my character is a teenager (either 18 or 19). That gives Kuro some time to have had a child earlier, maybe during the time nearing the end of his pirate life. Judging that he was around his 30-ish maybe, during the end of his butler years, then perhaps he could have had a child sometime after. If it helps, my history involves Kuro's after history.
