Beatriz K. Montelle xxxBea frowned at him calling her 'skippy girl.' "My name is Beatriz. Call me Bea. Or BB. Just... not Skippy Girl." Casting a gaze around the area, Bea frowned. There were large gates, marines training and going about their everyday duties inside, she knew, and it'd be tough for a pirate to sneak in. xxxBut not for a musician. xxxKneeling on the ground and putting her violin case before her, Bea started unlatching the case and readying the instrument. "I'll distract them with an impromptu concert. You sneak in the back while they're distracted, and I'll catch up with you inside, okay?" Bea, regardless of what Hayate's answer may be, now had her heart set on giving the marines the best damned show they'd ever seen. Putting the violin in the crook of her neck and twirling the bow with her free hand, she looked to Hayate. "I suggest getting out of here before I start playing~!"

"Skip it is then." he said in a mocking fashion though more in a comical than a insulting way. He noted the courage of the girl, though still couldn't put his finger on why the heck she would be sticking her neck out for some random wanted pirate she didn't even know. Probably boredom or something, even a Admiral's little princess must get bored of ponys and glitter sometimes. he thought to himself chuckling at the notion though he wasn't about to give up free help especially when he had no other ideas at the moment so he would just have to go along with it for now. Hayate moved back into the alley and turned down another, running in between buildings in order to stay out of the open road moving closer and closer the the entrance of the marine base. He figured that if this girls idea worked it should be as easy as pie to sneak in behind the guards once they moved out of the gate.

Beatriz K. Montelle xxxAs Hayate rushed out of the way, Bea positioned herself in front of the gates, boldly looking both guards in the eye with a defiant and serious glare. Then, of course, her regular goofy grin spread across her face, and she put the bow to the strings. The tune that followed was catchy and happy. Bea's foot started to keep the time, then her eyes closed as she started to focus more on the music-making than the distraction. Her head began to bob, her body swaying and dipping in accordance to the beat. The result was shocking. xxxThe guards, who'd been watching her with a simple interest, slowly started to feel the music's magic at work as well. First, in their feet, then their whole bodies got involved and they linked arms, dancing in a crazed circle. It wasn't just the guards, though. Soon, a whole mob of marines who'd been training came to see the source of the music. They began dancing as well, causing a seemingly chaotic concert. By the time the song was done, the dance was over and the marines were all laughing and chattering. One man, a lieutenant by the look of it, shouted for an encore. Bea, of course, unable to deny a good audience (marine, pirate or otherwise) started to play Crocodile Rock.

Hayate could hear the sound of music starting down the street and as it did he watched as the marines were entranced by it, most likely due to the extreme boredom they were forced to endure guarding a gate in a marine occupied down. Basically meaning that there's nothing to do except counting the tumbleweeds, and as the guards moved away from the gate Hayate leisurely strolled on in through the front gate. As he entered the base's courtyard the first thing that he could see was the giant gallows... freshly used by the looks of it to, a grim reminder what awaits for pirates who are caught in east blue these days where in the past they would be sent to impel down, though these days Captain Raven has made a few changes to policy. He past the gallows and moved towards the Tower in the center and the base of captain raven, though he had to make a few preparations first before he could meet the Captain of the base, and eventually waltzed his way into the base disappearing into its vast hold.

Beatriz K. Montelle xxxWith two songs down, Bea was topping herself with the ever-catchy Macarena. However, when she was done, she figured Hayate was already safely inside of the base. "Well, that's all for today, men! Thank you for listening; you're a grand audience!" Hopping off of the crate she'd started to stand on at some point, Bea laid her violin back in it's case, ignoring the protests of her loving audience. Bea looked up to the base, wondering now how she would get inside to find Hayate. Music had always been her rhyme and reason for these things, so- xxxOh. Well that could work. xxxLooking to the nearest marine, who was decorated as a lieutenant, Bea grinned, "Hey, could you take me to Captain Raven's office? I'd like to play for him too." A strange look passed over the man's face; a twist between shock and fear. Bea finished up with the violin and held the case tightly, as she always did. "Hm? Did I say something funny? Captain Raven does work here, right?" xxxThe men started to disperse, leaving herself with only the lieutenant and a couple of others. "Y-you're not wrong..." the lieutenant said, "B-b-b-b-but..." xxx"If I'm not wrong, it should be okay to see him, right?" Bea asked, frowning. "Relax... I just want to play him a few songs, then be on my merry way. Think of it as my way of thinking the men that keep this island safe!" While Bea could care less about thanking marines, she did need an excuse to get inside and find Hayate, and this was it, so she was determined. Apparently, the marine could see that as well. xxx"O-okay, then... don't say I didn't warn you."

Hayate continued to walk though the various hallways and corridors, the base it self was far larger than it appeared from the outside and from the looks of it even went underground after seeing a few staircases. Though he was not here on one of his normal sight seeing trips rather he needed to find a specific area of the base before he could meet Captain Raven for as of right now he didn't feel secure enough to face raven with only 1 prepared. So to get his own sense of security up to see the captain he needed to find the base's barracks. Figuring that he would end up meeting Skip somewhere towards the top near the Captains chambers. As he went through the halls and stair cases he found it rather odd to find so little security on the base. "The captain must think that finding Agatha's minions in the town to be a more pressing matter than anything. Though i don't see why any marines would be strolling around the base mid-day." he said talking to himself. The path around the base was fairly easy to navigate for there were signs everywhere indicating where the main areas of the base were and eventually he found his way to the barracks and like he had hoped it was empty. Though most people would be wondering why he was in the barracks of all places, though he had his own reasons. One he was done here he would find his way up to the top where the Captain was sure to be.

Beatriz K. Montelle xxxBea followed behind the marine with her usual half-skip gait. She found it odd that there were hardly any marines inside. Looking expectantly left to right and holding her violin's case in her hand, she asked, "Ne, onii-chan, what's Captain Raven like?" xxxThe marine stiffened, as if someone had hit him with an electric jolt in his tailbone that trailed up to his face. It was strange reaction for a marine's underling to have. Scratching the back of his head, the lieutenant muttered a few incoherent statements before replying, "Well, he's.... eh... strong. Brave... wise. Everyone one here... respects him. In a sense." xxxBea's head tilted to the side. Something was definitely odd here; all of those things sounded forced. They sounded more... fearful than respectful. Maybe this guy's just weird, Bea decided, turning a blind eye to his discomfort and apparent dread of the room they were approaching. Beatriz continued to look over the surroundings; it all looked plain and business-like to her. Much like the base her father ran; and that was no fun. Still, she kept an eye out for Hayate, hoping she'd catch up with him soon. The lieutenant was leading her up several staircases; which was annoying in itself. Finally, at the top of one, he pointed to a large set of white wood, double doors. "H-h-h-here it is." The marine stammered, looking around nervously. Bea herself didn't quite know what to do. Should she go in, play her concert, then find some way to hide in the base until she discovered Hayate's hide out? Or... should she simply wait for the marine to do something? Bea, catching the marine's nerves, awaited the lieutenant's instruction.

The marine was nearly getting cold feet and almost asked the girl if she really wanted to do this but at the last moment the marine knocked on the doors to the captains chambers. "C... Captain Sir! You have a Visitor who would like a audience!" the marine yelled as he waited for the Captains reply. The marines face was getting strange as if he was getting scared of what was going to happen next. Then finally he heard something though the doors, it was the captain saying to let the visitor in. The marine opened the two doors and ushered the girl to move along inside. His hands were shaking as he opened the door though he tried to hide it the best he could especially when he was in the presence of the captain himself. The last thing he wanted was for him to see something wrong. Once Bea went through the door the marine would close it behind her and wait in the hallway for further instructions from the captain.

Beatriz K. Montelle xxxBea, with no hesitation, entered the captain's room and looked around, her eyes jumping from the room's furnishings, to the walls, to the ceiling and lastly, to the captain himself. She looked, as she usually did before a performance, serious with a flat expression. Walking to a table set up in the corner, Bea sat her violin case down on it's side and faced Captain Raven. "If it's alright with you, sir, I'd like to entertain you with some music!" In a split second, the flat-faced, bold look was gone from her face, instantly replaced by her usual, cheery grin. Captain Raven... she thought, his men act like he's a big and scary character... maybe it's just me, but I'm not afraid. xxxBea unlatched the violin case and pulled the instrument from it's red velvet-lined interior. Nestling the violin's backside in the crook between her neck and shoulder, she pulled the bow from the case and put it to the strings. Still, she awaited the captain's say-so to start her song. What kind of song would a captain like, I wonder? Bea thought. A smile lighting her face once more, she thought, I know just the one...

The captain himself was a rather large and well build man, probably standing at least 7ft tall. Though despite the rumors he did not appear to be a tyrant at all at least in looks but appeared to be as well groomed and shaved as required in the navy, with not a fold or wrinkle in his clothes. Though despite the first impression the captain was far from that.
As Bea walked into his chambers his expression did not change, it almost looked like he was trying to set someone on fire by staring at them. Though he was paying little to no attention to the girl, rather his attention was facing the desk in front of in where there was rather large piles of papers and reports waiting his review and signatures. "Well are you going to start? Or do i have to throw you in the pit for a week for disturbing me for no reason!" the captain began to yell. Outside of the room the marine standing guard got a shiver down his side when the captain started yelling.

Beatriz K. Montelle xxxBea only smiled at the captain's impatience, and one she was set up, she kicked off the song with a quick beat, smiling as she played. The song itself was a song of the seas, a song that would make any true sea-faring human thinking of crashing waves, thunderous sea battles. It was a song Bea loved, and her father despised. It was, technically, a pirate's song, but little did that matter. The beat was catchy and the song relatively unknown. She assumed as a man of the sea, Captain Raven would enjoy a catchy beat and the imagery of crashing waves. It was, of course, a risky assumption. On the other hand, Captain Raven could recognize the beat and lock her away on charges of piracy. And that was something she couldn't allow to happen. It was unlikely she'd be locked away, though. She had her ever-handy war scythe on her back, and if push comes to shove, she'd defend her freedom like a true pirate.

As Bea played her tune the captains eyes did not move from the papers on his desk, seemingly not even paying attention to the girl and her song. As Bea ended her beat the captains eyes still did not move from the desk. Though despite not looking it the captain was thinking about the song and how idiotic the girl was for playing a pirate tune to a marine. "Are you done now? Good now i can get back to work. But before then next time you feel like wasting my time again think about what you do before hand, for if it were anyone else but his daughter would be thrown in the pit for a week with nothing but their own shadow to keep them company during their fall to insanity, and yes i know who you are. So in spite of this you will be thrown into the brig until the next ship to marineford docks." Captain Raven boldly stated and for the fires time he looked at the girl with a blank expression or rather a expression like he wanted the girl to spontaneous com-bust for having to work out another marines parenting problems to his doorstep. The captain looked towards the door "Marine! Take the the girl to the brig. No one is to speak to her until i say so....." the captain said waiting for the marine to come in though the marine wasn't and the captain was starting to get angry "MARINE! When i give you an order you obey it! Unders...." The captain was saying when he was suddenly cut off when the doors to the chamber burst open and instead of the marine walking through a teenager with green hair smoking a cigarette holding a sword over his right sholder walked in. Hayate walked though the door letting out a stream of smoke from his lungs as he exhaled staring directly into the Captains eyes with a expression that was lazy or lazed but just had the feeling it was say 'What-ever'. His face was basically mocking the captain and he could tell it was working already, it was as soon as he walked in the door, as the Captains face was getting angrier and angrier. "Sup Ravy-boy?"

Beatriz K. Montelle xxxBea wasn't smiling when she was told she was going to be thrown in the brig. Especially when she learned that he knew her father. Sighing, Bea sat her violin in it's case, shutting it tightly and latching it. "Well, damn. I knew I should've played 'Bink's Sake.'" Bea was reaching for the war scythe strapped to her back when Hayate walked in, rather casually. Instead of drawing her weapon, she waved some smoke away from her nose, "Ew, Hayate, you stink." She giggled a bit, ever the childish one, and stepped back towards her new acquaintence. "I was wondering when I'd run into you again~! Great timing, by the way, I was about to be thrown into the brig!" Beatriz laughed again, joyfully. She knew Hayate most definitely hadn't come to help her and, more than likely, could care less what she did, but Bea wasn't the type to simply leave a person alone once shunned. In fact, when people shunned her, it simply made her tag along and ask "why?" until she got a solid answer.

"Don't worry about it, i was just getting a little prepared." Hayate said as he looked over towards Raven who was still sitting down in his chair staring at him wondering who this man was and more so now how he was connected to Beatriz.
"So you must be Agatha's henchmen that my men are searching the island for. I should be thanking you for coming straight to me so that i don't have to waist anymore time, though unfortunate for you that you don't get a happy ending within my tower. The gallows for you, after we learn everything you know about your master." Raven said as he finally stood up, revealing his massive stature that over took both Bea and Hayate. "Now will you be coming quietly or do i have to waist more of my time today to deal with you brats?"
"Sorry to disappoint you but me and Agatha had a falling out a while back, and don't you worry Ravy i wont take up much of your time today. After all it wont take me long to wipe the floor with you." Hayate said as he took the blade off of his shoulder and held it with both hands in front of him, his right hand on the handle and the left on the sheath. Where as Hayate did this Raven did the same as he unsheathed his blade from his side holding it with one hand as he walked around the desk and faced Hayate face to face.

Beatriz K. Montelle xxxBea looked from Hayate to Raven quickly, alarmed. Bea was weak, it was something she could change with some training, but at the moment, there wasn't much she could do. "I'm just going to wait outside, then!" Bea said, grabbing her violin case and turning around. Most people would take such a chance to escape the fight scene and the whole marine base. Bea literally intended to wait outside the door so she wouldn't get hurt. Hell, maybe she could even be useful and prevent any back up from getting into the room. Rushing out the door Bea made special care to slam both doors shut behind her, then turn to face the hallway. Sucking in a deep breath and releasing it in a huff, Bea looked both ways. Nothing to the left... and only the limp form the lieutenant to the right. Safe, Bea thought. She turned to face the doors again. But is Hayate?
